HEART launches a micro-business

HEART's Handmade was started in April 2016 to employ qualified HEART participants (aka; Heartists). HEART is an arts & nature based activity program for adults with special needs. We hope the business will also generate revenue for HEART, a 501(c)3 non-profit that relies on tuition, grants, fundraising, donations, and volunteerism to continue serving our exceptional adult community. HEART's Handmade bakes organic dog treats and makes gorgeous dog bowties. Currently, we sell our goods along with other arts & crafts made by the Heartists at at Folly Beach Farmer's Market and various pop-up shops. We plan to get HEART's Handmade into veterinarian's offices, pet stores, and in CSA's around the lowcountry. Let us know if you want HEART's Handmade near you!

Big HEART Raffle was a great success!

We were overwhelmed with the success of our 1st annual fundraiser, Big HEART Raffle! We sold out early and had a packed house of happy and loving big hearted people! We also raised almost $5,000! We'd like to thank all of you who helped make this happen-- it takes a village.

Holistic Education and Art Therapy (HEART) is gearing up for its first big fundraising event on April 1st from 6-9pm at Redux Contemporary Art Center. The Big HEART Raffle will be an annual event where local talent shares the stage with HEART participants (aka heARTists) to create an awe inspiring performance that is sure to stir the big heart in all of us!

We are selling Big HEART Raffle Event Tickets for $25 Pre-sale ($35 at the door). This includes an enticing 20 item raffle, hearty hors d'oeuvres from Rutledge Cab Co., 2 drink tickets, 2 raffle tickets and a superb musical lineup. All proceeds go directly back to support the heARTists.
