Meet HEART’s new Visual Arts Mentor:

Lauren Ridenour

Lauren is a professional abstract artist whose work appears in murals, collaborations, shops, and in all sorts of unexpected places around Charleston. In 2020, Lauren lent her talents to support local businesses and nonprofits in need, including a collaboration with the Foot the Bill campaign by Vans, creating custom designed sneakers to benefit one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants, The Alley. She also generously donated her work to HEART for our very first Creative Misfits Virtual Art Auction. Her relationship with the HEART crew really began years ago while volunteering with us as an artist at Redux Contemporary Art Center. Now she joins HEART as our new Visual Arts Mentor, growing and guiding our experiences as visual artists.
