July 2015 heART Show: Fashion

HEART's 1st annual Fashion session was a huge success with over 80 people in attendance, HEART participants rocked the runway on Friday, July 17th! Hair by Lava Salon, makeup by Charlotte Baroody, clothes donated by Palmetto Goodwill Industries. The show's MC was Angharad Chester-Jones from Charleston Magazine who reached out to Charleston Fashion Week's stylists, makeup artists and models to help HEART participants get styled out and work the runway like professionals! Chester-Jones also used her PR talents to make sure we had a full house. We have a video by Hed Hi Media coming soon and more photos from the show. In the meantime, check out the amazing modeling photos by Reese Moore Photography. It takes a village to create the success we have at HEART and we are grateful to those who share their talents with us. If you missed this show, don't worry - this will be an annual event!

May 2015 heART Show: HEART Stories Documentary

HEART Stories - the movie.

At our May 29th heART Show we had a first time screening of HEART Stories - a movie we made over our April-May session that tells us a little bit about our HEART participants. We also had an impressive self portrait gallery on display where participants used different mediums to capture their essence. We are all very proud of this film and will continue working on it and sharing it in different forums, formats, & forms.
